Blossoming Humans is a Spanish immersion preschool in North Austin caring for children from 12 months to 5 years old. We deliver a rich, research-informed curriculum through a foundation of emotional intelligence, cultural celebration, and authentic joy because we believe a child’s experience at school shapes the way they learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Philosophy
At Blossoming Humans, our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that children thrive when they feel emotionally safe, deeply respected, and genuinely celebrated. We combine a research-led curriculum with the warmth of a home-away-from-home environment, where indoor and outdoor spaces inspire exploration, connection, and discovery.
At the heart of our approach is conscious connection, nurturing empathy, emotional understanding, and self-awareness, so children learn to understand themselves as well as the world around them.
Our Story
Blossoming Humans was founded in Austin, Texas, by Irasema Ibarra Franklin, a former lawyer, passionate educator, and the warm, driving force behind everything this school stands for.
Born in Veracruz, Mexico, and holding two Master's degrees in Emotional Intelligence and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Irasema brought a deeply considered, whole-child philosophy to Blossoming Humans from day one. She wanted to create something Austin didn't yet have: a preschool where bilingual education, outdoor learning, and emotional intelligence weren't add-ons, but the very core of the experience.
Since opening, Blossoming Humans has grown into a vibrant, multicultural community united by the belief that these early years matter deeply, and every child deserves an extraordinary start. We are proud to serve families from across Austin and to reflect the rich diversity of our community.

Where Education and Care Become One
Everything we do, from the way we greet a child at the door to the way we guide them through a disagreement with a friend, is intentional, caring, and educational all at once.
We offer a full preschool programme for children aged 12 months to 5 years, with both full-time and part-time options to suit different families and routines. Our curriculum is built around the Frog Street Pre-K framework, a leading research-based programme that supports early literacy, language, maths, science, motor skills, social-emotional development, and cultural awareness, all within a fully immersive Spanish-speaking environment.
Every programme we offer has been thoughtfully developed to ensure that when your child is ready to move on to kindergarten, they do so confident and prepared.

Happyoga sessions — Our signature programme blending children's yoga, movement, and breathwork to support emotional regulation, focus, and physical wellbeing.
Monthly cultural celebrations — Every month, we explore and honour traditions and festivities from across the Spanish-speaking world and beyond, building a genuine sense of cultural pride and global awareness.
Snacks and lunch provided — Children are fed and nourished throughout the day, with meals served outdoors whenever possible.
Open, honest communication with parents — You will always know how your child's day has gone. We are approachable, transparent, and genuinely love getting to know the whole family.
CCS Scholarship accepted — We are proud to accept the Texas Workforce Commission Child Care Services Scholarship, making quality bilingual education more accessible for Austin families.
